First let me say, this is a far-fetched idea being posted by a far fetched mind. In no way is this an idea originated, proposed, insinuated, inferred, perpetuated or I believe, even imagined by any of those officially associated with the Grand Ole Opry!
This was an answer spoken a few minutes ago regarding open mic nights in Nashville. We love the Grand Ole Opry and were happy just to hum in the parking lot! Is there a dream somewhere in the recesses of our minds to perform there one day? Indeed, there is.
Those following our blog and social media are probably aware that Randy's beloved mother, Jeanetta, passed away recently on February 23, 2015. Her biggest dream for Randy was to see him on the Opry Stage. Randy and the band has been working very hard toward that goal and in honor of Jeanetta, we re-dedicate our efforts in hopes of seeing Randy for Jeanetta, realize this dream.
Hard work, dedication to the craft, dedication to our families and dedication to our fans will see Tennessee Line Band to the Opry Stage. Open mic at the Opry? Probably not in the works. Would we if available? Randy says, "Yep, you bet I would!"
