I grew up in a loving, Christian family listening to country music greats such as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens and Elvis Presley. My mother was originally from Bowling Green, KY and her southern traditions and love of music was not lost on me. I used to sing duets with her in church to our church family. The last time singing with her was late in 2014, as she hid her pain from her recent diagnosis of stage 4 cancer. Big White House was a song inspired late in 2014 as I watched my mother's life deteriorate, passing in 2015. I dedicate this song to my mother and father as a tribute to the life they provided for me while growing up in that, "Big White House", and the inspiration imparted in support of my songwriting career and love of country music.
